In 2014, Joe Yezzi and his cousin Rob Yezzi visited the M2 Machines booth at SEMA, where they met Sean Taylor. Sean, who was already following Squarebody Syndicate on social media, greeted them and instantly hit it off. They spent hours laughing and discussing their dreams. This led to the “Pitch”: the idea of attending a show and finding a vendor with a collection of used die-cast cars and trucks, including a Syndicate build that showed signs of wear and tear from hours of play.

Knowing that Sean received numerous pitches from truck enthusiasts and builders daily, Joe took a chance and asked if M2 would collaborate with him to make his dream a reality. Sean and the M2 crew showed interest but emphasized the need for patience.

After three years of regular contact and constant reminders from Sean to “just be patient,” Joe and Rob were asked in August 2017 to bring SS01 to the SEMA Garage in Diamond Bar, California. There, the truck underwent a full scan to ensure precision accuracy. Fast forward five years from their initial meeting, and on July 3, 2019, M2 Machines announced the release of the first Squarebody Syndicate 6-pack in over 4,000 Walmarts across the US and Canada. Sean ensured that every 1:64 scale truck in the set was etched with the SBS logo on the back window, making them easily identifiable outside of their packaging.

M2 Machines, renowned for their attention to detail in die-cast cars and trucks, is well-known among collectors for their limited production runs that retain their value in the marketplace.

Squarebody Syndicate and M2 Machines are collaborating again, with plans to release a 1:24 scale version of Syndicate Series 01 and “Farmers Tan” at Walmart USA in October 2023.
